Seeing this guitar reminds me so much of a great song from The Beatles, entitled While My Guitar Gently Weeps which was composed by George Harrison. It sure has an interesting story with how Harrison was inspired while reading the I Ching, the Book of Changes. The first words of the song were based on what he read randomly when he opened the book and these words were gently weeps. Also, Harrison was engrossed by "the Eastern concept that whatever happens is all meant to be, and that there's no such thing as coincidence - every little item that's going down has a purpose."
Enough said, let me present to you The 1608, a baritone guitar made out of original white oak wood from Bushmills Irish Whiskey Barrels. The guitar was created through the collaboration of Frontman of Bon Iver, singer-songwriter Justin Vernon and Master Luthier Gordy Bischoff. The name of the guitar was based on the year when one of the oldest whiskey brands in the world, Bushmills, received its original grant to distill. The look of this string instrument is really gorgeous and though you may not know how to play it, you would want to get a hold of it. ♥
