Around two years ago, the San Jose International Airport welcomed an amazing sculpture called the eCLOUD. Made from unique polycarbonate tiles that periodically shifts opacity (every 20 seconds to be exact) by real time weather from around the world. Don’t be fooled by its simplicity, once you see it in action you’d be mesmerized. Check out the magical patterns in action on vimeo after the photos below.

The eCLOUD is a dynamic sculpture inspired by the volume and behavior of an idealized cloud. It is a permanent sculpture between gates 22 and 23 at the San Jose International Airport and was a collaboration between Dan Goods, Nik Hafermaas, and Aaron Koblin.
