- My only aspiration in life is to have a stable, happy, and uncomplicated existence. I believe in this really old saying that I encountered during my high school days that, “The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.”
I value “time” so much. Yes, “Time is gold.” I am known for my punctuality and high respect to other people’s time.
Though you may catch me smiling in almost every instance that you see me, I could also be serious whenever the situation calls for it.
And if I would have to share one lesson that I’ve learned and realized all these years, it would be this — Every single thing in this world happens for a reason. God would not allow something to go off just like that without causing any relevance. You really just have to open your eyes, consider the reasons why these things come about, and then think of the brighter side.

I find the Islamic history, art and architecture fascinating and beautiful from the Alhambra in Spain to the lovely mosques in Iran, and Persian carpets. I have a collection of photos of Iranian architecture and have enjoyed many times enjoyed a PBS special about the history of Islam. My only regret is that we Christians have such a terrible history of intolerance and violence against that culture.

Thank you for your welcome! Yes living in Spain is something special, and not always for the obvious 'Sun, Sand, and Sangria' although they are bonuses. But the people are fantastic, as is the culture and they countryside is full of surprises! I have lived here for nearly 9 years now and I really feel like it is the home in my heart.
The finca is great, but it is 148 kms from where I live so expeditions have to be planned to coinside with meetings with the builder and electrician. I will try and post some photos of the start of my love affair with the Finca. (Actually Finca is the word for the land that the farm is on.The actual word for what I have there is 'Cortijo' or country house. It started a out as two cottages, and I have made it into one building. It is on a 1000 sq metre plot and it consists of the main building, a walled courtyard, a fullsized bakers oven and what I call 'the stables' but are in fact housing for sheep.And will make a great gym,temple,or a separate annex for guests, I just have not decided yet... endless possibilities ... endless changes of mind.
