Dennis and Frances, owners of this unusual bed and breakfast obviously loves dogs so much they made the World’s Biggest Beagle hotel. With Dennis’ background in construction, he built this structure himself.

Guests enter the body of the beagle from a private 2nd storey deck. Some of the dog’s decorative furnishings are carvings by Dog Bark Park resident chainsaw artists Dennis & Frances. Inside and up another level to the head of the dog is a loft room with additional sleeping space plus a cozy alcove in the muzzle. It is stucco exterior over traditional wood frame construction incorporating cantilevering for the extension that forms the head of the dog. An extensive underground concrete foundation supports the structure. Material for the ears is indoor/outdoor carpet attached at the roofline allowing the ears movement in the wind. The dog’s construction was completed in 2003 & from April to November of each year it is open as a bed & breakfast inn for guests. One party at a time enjoys having the dog to themselves with sleeping accommodations for four. Of course Dog Bark Park, with the 2 world’s biggest beagles + an 11 foot tall red fire hydrant, is a popular roadside attraction year round. Our artists’ studio is also on the property where we offer our chainsaw sculptures, with canine carvings our specialty. The big dog is approximately 30 feet tall, 34 feet long and 14 feet wide.
