Prague studio FAM Architekti designed this wedge-shaped cabin located beside Lake Mácha in North Bohemia based on the client’s request for a year-round retreat getaway while enjoying his passion for yachting.

Replace older cottage on the shore of the lake in a pine forest respects the unique natural character of the place and the STOP copies of the original. The aim of the project was to create a space for year-round recreation including related facilities, all in typolgii minimum and maximum connection to the lake.
Matter of the structure is designed as a lightweight, with regard to functional demands, and valuable perspectives from inside the area. Shield your height compositionally builds on the existing anchor pier, whose directional axis of the lake – land visually terminated. It confirms the importance of the pier as the main approach from the opposite bank of the yacht on water. An alternative approach to the subject is then on foot or by car along the forest path.
Within the building is accessed by an external staircase sliding window. The interior is designed as a continuous living space open to the attic. Do space galleries on sleep, below which is a black box located compact sanitary and kitchen facilities. The main wall in the interior is a deep closet with the largest storage capacities, which is built into the fireplace. The interior is unified cladding material from drásaných spruce planks fitted white oil. Seamless floor squeegee is the color of follow-up on the surface of the sand bank of the lake.
Exterior building respects the landscape and inspired in their natural surroundings. Reconstruction is designed as a wooden, single-casing vertically imposed by wooden battens, which reflect the verticality pine trees surrounding tribes. Security in the building is designed out of the use of mobile or fixed shutters, which are clad identical lathes such as housing construction.
