Nope, today is not Valentine’s day… and yes, those are really big roses. Who says that we should celebrate the month of L-O-V-E only in February when there is a place in the world that grows more than 60,000 roses of 2,000 varieties? You may want to visit the Rose Garden of Princess Hildegard of Bavaria located in Zweibrücken, Germany which is also known as the City of Roses. German artist  Ottmar Hörl thought of recognizing the city by creating a huge public art installation called “1,000 Roses for Zweibrücken” which was on display for one month. A thousand of plastic red roses were arranged in a visually striking grid-like pattern on the ground. The size of the flowers were about 12 inches wide and were even offered for sale as a memento of the memorable installation. Lovely! ♥
