Whimsical Portraits Made of 8mm Roll Films

Atlanta based artist Erika Iris Simmons has made a name creating portraits using interlaced old cassette tape rolls. Her distinctive use of repurposed material has become her trademark. Now she has explored another medium, used 8mm roll films. The spool in each portrait somehow creates the illusion that the illustration billows from it.    Visit Erika Iris Simmons Flickr page for more.   [via demilked]
