Award-winning architectural firm Piet Boon has designed this captivating ‘Asia Residential Resort’ in Oak Valley, South Korea. The whole place exudes a very relaxing ambience that is described to be a mixture of eastern and western cultures.
Description by Piet Boon Architecture:
We imbued the interior of this private residence in Oak Valley – a high-end, ecologically-sustainable golf and ski resort – with a distinctive Piet Boon® signature, owing to the natural materials we used such as oak flooring. As the owner is an avid art collector, inside the house was a mixture of east and west. With our interpretation, we carefully gave each artwork an inspired new position.
We used a subdued color palette with orange as an accent color throughout, reflected, amongst other things, in the handmade cushions. And we gave each bedroom its own unique style; one with dark colors as a basis, another lighter in nature. They both offer the perfect ambience for relaxing and unwinding at the end of the day.
