Edouard Martinet‘s artwork is incredibly resourceful and creative. One reason is that he transforms everyday objects found in flea-markets and car boot sales into works of art.He uses different scrap metals like rusted kitchen pans, typewriter keys, car lights and other refuse materials. What’s more is that he puts them together like a jigzaw puzzle. No solder, no glue. Just masterfully assembles each component like it was once one piece.
Before starting a project, Edouard prepares several detailed sketches for each of his creations. This is probably why he spends a considerable time to finish one project. And his subjects, by the way, are mostly animals.
