paper art

New York based Japanese artist Yuken Teruya is known for making intricate artworks using everyday materials such as toilet paper rolls and paper shopping bags. Seen here is his latest work using Olympic edition of Mcdonald’s paper bag named, Notice-Forest: What Victory Tastes Like/ London. Masterfully using red and yellow parts of the bag as leaves for the miniature tree and the blue piece as its branches and trunk. His artworks are usually inspired by the life and history of his homeland, this one actually reminds you of the vibrant trees of Japan. Currently being exhibited in David B. Smith Gallery until 1st of September.
