Looking for a vacation house somewhere in Moab, Utah? Good news! The Hidden Valley House is up for sale! This 2,500 square foot residence was designed and built by Los Angeles-based Marmol Radziner, a full service architectural and design/build firm.
Another interesting note about this home is how it was built. There’s this new term that I encountered and it’s called prefabricated home, often referred to as prehab. Wikipedia defines prehab homes as specialist dwelling types of prefabricated building, which are manufactured off-site in advance, usually in standard sections that can be easily shipped and assembled.
According to Marmol Radziner, building a modular prefab home requires the same initial steps as a site-built house. However, once construction begins, the time and cost efficiencies of prefabrication become apparent, resulting in a much shorter construction timeline and more precise cost budget.
