Designers’ challenge is to preserve the site’s treasures as much as they can. In this case a large 150-year old Oak tree in the middle of the buildable section of this Austin, Texas property called the Eva Street Residence. The challenge was gamely accepted by Architect Chris Cobb. And he did preserve the specialness of the enormous tree by designing the home around it. Gorgeous andlovingly shaded residence.
