coffee-ground-art

A nursing student by day and an artist during breaks, Cebu-based Filipina artist Liv Buranday found a way to balance her busy school life by creating art.

While coffee is often seen as a partner in overnight studying, coffee ground has become Buranday’s medium of choice formed using a trustee toothpick and very steady hand.

According to Burnaday,

‘What inspired me to do #groundcoffeeart is my father’s love for coffee. I’ve always known him to love brewed coffee, and then a thought popped out when he opened that Folgers Classic Roast—perhaps I can use its contents as art.’
