Japan-based studio Naf Architect & Design Co. have designed A House Made of Two, completed in 2009.
Located in Yokohama City, Kanagawa, Japan.
A House Made of Two by Naf Architect & Design Co.:
The concept for this two dwellings is to house a family but slight living apart from one another. One can imagine a ‘single large house originally situated on this site’ separated by a hollowed-portion to serve as the courtyard. The curved facade of the two houses is ‘what’s left’ of the splitting of volume. This project is an experiment to allow more options in the urban lifestyle.
